Tashahhud: The Testimony of Faith
Tashahhud is the sitting position in the middle or at the end of Salah, where the believer recites the testimony of faith and sends blessings upon Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). It is a moment of reflection and affirmation of our core Islamic beliefs.
The Meaning of Tashahhud
During Tashahhud, Muslims recite the Attahiyat, which acknowledges that all compliments, prayers, and pure actions are for Allah. We also bear witness that there is no god but Allah and that Prophet Muhammad is His servant and messenger. This declaration is the foundation of our faith and is reaffirmed multiple times daily during our five prayers.
